1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine
3 ounces cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups flour
1 bag Brach's chocolate stars
- Mix the margarine and sugar together, add the cream cheese.
- Mix well and add the remaining ingredients except for the chocolate stars.
- Chill for 30 minutes or more.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- Shape the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
- Put on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 13 minutes.
- Take out (the cookies will not be finished) and press stars into the balls.
- Put back in oven and bake for about 3 minutes, until the edges are slightly browned.
